SEVEN LIVES LOST ON N4 NEAR RUSTENBURG.
Seven people, four women and three men, have died instantaneously when a 22 seater minibus crashed onto the rear of a long haul truck. Both vehicles were traveling towards Swartruggens side from Rustenburg. The accident happened about 4 kilometers outside the farming area of Moedville. Three of the passengers including the driver were seriously injured and twelve slightly. All were taken to the hospital in Rustenburg. The accident happened around 18:45 on Thursday evening. Entrapped bodies were removed by the from the mangled front of the minibus around 23:30. “It wasn’t a pretty side. Certainly not for the faint hearted”. Said one officer. This led to road closure for five hours and was opened for traffic at 00:30.
